BRANSON
MUSIC TOUR

OCTOBER 22-27, 2020

New dates

Same great tour, different date!  On December 8, 1991, the popular “60 Minutes” TV program proclaimed Branson the “live music capital of the entire universe.” There were only 22 theaters in operation. Today, Branson has more than twice that many, due in part to that turning-point proclamation. Many agree that “60 Minutes” launched Branson into a new era of growth by revealing to the world the wonderful playground of fun and entertainment this small southwest Missouri town had become. Performers, visitors, developers and new residents flocked to see what was going on. Join us for a packed itinerary which will include 3 shows per day, a paddle showboat, Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede, and so much more!  An added bonus:  Historically, this week is Branson's peak fall foliage season!

ITINERARY

DAY 1 - THURSDAY

Fly to Springfield Missouri from Burlington, accompanied by your Tour Manager.  Board our private motor coach and prepare to be embraced by southern hospitality as we transfer to our hotel in Branson, Missouri.  Settle into your hotel before departing for the Uptown Café for dinner.

This evening, we jump right into the extraordinary entertainment that has made Branson famous… that’s right, Jim Stafford is back! Jim Stafford has returned to the newly renovated Jim Stafford Theater to celebrate his 28th year performing in Branson! The singer, songwriter, comedian, guitar virtuoso, and consummate entertainer is bringing everything back to the stage that made us vote him the best entertainer, best personality, and best comedy show. With some of his original band members joining him back on stage, this is a celebration you do not want to miss!

DAY 2 - FRIDAY

This morning, enjoy a deluxe breakfast - (scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, cereal, fresh fruit and beverages).  Depart for the Hughes Brothers Theatre for the Gospel Show!  Oh Happy Day Goin' Back to Gospel Show features a "super group" of talented vocalists: Gary Koreiba, who has sung on Gaither "Homecoming" Videos, and was the lead singer of Pierce Arrow in Branson for 13 years; Kim Boyce, a former Miss Florida with eleven #1 Hits in Christian music; Allen Asbury, a Contemporary Christian singer who played the role of Simon Peter in "The Promise;" and Debra Paxton, a renowned background vocalist and daughter of rock 'n roll and gospel legend, Gary S. Paxton. "Oh Happy Day: Goin' Back to Gospel" highlights some of the greatest, classic gospel songs of all time. Songs by The Rambo's, Gaithers, Imperials, Russ Taff, and Andre Crouch, as well as hymns, combine to present a new morning show that is thoroughly unique in Branson.

After the show, we depart for the Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks.  The Keeter Center, deep in the Ozarks, the Keeter Center’s rustic design and handsome furnishings are a perfect complement to the well-maintained landscaping. The restaurant’s dining room prides itself on serving some of the finest dining in the Branson Area.  So of course, we have included lunch here!

Meet your student guide at the College of the Ozarks Public Relations Building.  The College of the Ozarks is unique among American colleges and universities because students work, rather than pay, to help defray their educational expenses. Students are assigned to more than 80 work stations including the computer center, dairy, farm and offices. Enjoy as one of the students takes your group on a tour of campus including Williams Memorial Chapel, Greenhouses, the Mill, Fruitcake and Jelly Kitchen and more!

We will then return to the hotel to freshen up before heading to Florentina's Ristorante Italiano for a bout of comfort food.  Once your appetite has been satisfied, we depart for Sight & Sound Theatre for the performance of Noah.  With a catastrophic storm on its way, one man is given a monumental task: build a boat big enough to save his family from a flood that will cover the entire earth. But they won’t be alone. Returning for one season only, this landmark production takes you on board of one of the world’s best-known voyages, as live animals fill the stage AND aisles. Set sail inside the enormous ark as this extraordinary Bible story comes to life all around you!

DAY 3 - SATURDAY

Another deluxe breakfast – Did you see those Krispee Kremes?  Next, we depart for a Two Hour Tour with a guide.  This local guide will show you around Branson and tell you some of the history of Branson. The tour includes Shepherd of the Hills, Table Rock Dam, the scenic overlook and more.

Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten those that like to shop.  Our next stop is the Branson Craft Mall.  16,000 square feet of Arts and Crafts from the Ozarks including a fudge shoppe, roasted nuts, gourmet coffee, chocolate, candy, jams, salsa as well as dried fruits. Don’t miss the free samples at Hillbilly Nut and Fruit. Watch working craftsmen: silversmith, pottery, glassworks, potato bags, stained glass, wood turning, brass engraving, decorative shirts, wood burning, floral designs, leather, cedar signs, basket weaving, musical instruments, quilts, ornaments, heritage lace and more. Pickin’ Porch Grill is on premises, where you will have lunch.

Did you get your fill?  We hope so, because you will need your energy for the Dublin’s Irish Tenors & The Celtic Ladies Show.  This group of Ireland’s finest tenors and its loveliest ladies mix traditional Irish tunes, opera, pop, swing and classical in a show for all ages! Including songs as “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling,” “Danny Boy,” “You Raise Me Up,” “Rose of Tralee,” “Nessun Dorma,” Hallelujah” and many more! You’ll be enchanted by their charm, exceptional harmonies and skillfully choreographed dancing.

Again, we return to hotel to give you the opportunity to freshen up.  Yes, another meal.  Perhaps we need to walk to the Gettn’ Basted Restaurant for dinner?

Our evening show is at the Clay Cooper Theatre for the Haygood Show.   The Haygoods are a talented group of six brothers and one sister. The Haygoods bring the house down night after night with incredibly tight harmonies, innovative staging and choreography and amazing performances on over 20 different instruments! This entertainment adventure combines the family’s special brand of musical magic with state-of-the-art special effects, including pyrotechnics and laser display with unstoppable energy that will leave you wanting more!  After the show, we head back to the hotel to rest up for another full day of entertainment!

You enter Titanic through a stucco iceberg wedged into the side of the ship. Once inside, you’re issued a “boarding pass” with the name of a Titanic passenger or crew member and won’t find out if you survived until you’re almost to the gift shop.

After a short break back at the hotel, we will head to dinner with a dose of hospitality from the Queen of country at Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show.  The world's most visited dinner attraction, Dolly Parton’s Stampede in Branson, presents its most high-spirited adventure ever!
