Arrive at Brussels Airport and transfer into the heart of the city. After checking into your hotel, begin your introduction to Brussels with a relaxed walk through the historic center.

Begin your journey in a grand central square, widely regarded as one of Europe's most beautiful, where stunning historic architecture and ornate façades create a truly memorable first impression. From there, stroll through an elegant covered arcade, its glass roof and refined atmosphere home to charming boutiques and inviting cafés.

Continue on to beautifully landscaped gardens that offer sweeping views across the city. The surrounding streets are perfect for leisurely exploring — browse local shops, indulge in a sweet treat, or relax with a drink as the day gently winds down. Dinner can be enjoyed in the Grand Place or Sablon district, where traditional brasseries serve Belgian classics paired with local beers.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 19 – ART, CULTURE & CRUISE EMBARKATION

From Grand Galleries to Your Floating Home

After an included breakfast, dedicate the morning to one of Brussels' cultural highlights. Art lovers may enjoy visiting the Magritte Museum, home to the world's largest collection of works by René Magritte, or exploring the broader collections at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. Alternatively, for a more iconic experience, consider a visit to the futuristic Atomium, one of Belgium's most recognizable landmarks.

After time for lunch on your own, make your way to the station for a short and comfortable train journey to Halle. The ride is brief and direct, bringing you to Halle with ample time before your cruise embarkation. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you'll be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail, followed by your first meal onboard the Raymonde.

Following check-out in the morning, your luggage will be transferred directly to the barge in preparation for your cruise.

Included: Breakfast, Dinner

THURSDAY, MAY 20 – HALLE TO STREPY-THIEU

Brussels Through New Eyes & a Chocolatier's Secret

This morning, you will ride by private motorcoach to Brussels for a guided tour of the city and a Belgian chocolate maker's workshop. We'll set off for the Belgian capital and see in more depth the Grand-Place with its glorious city hall and lavish guildhalls. With its richly decorated façade and impressive tower, the City Hall is one of the most beautiful buildings in the country. Further along, we'll see the iconic Manneken Pis and the Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries.

Next, we'll visit a Belgian chocolate maker in the heart of Brussels. Learn about our favorite indulgence — from its Mayan origins to the modern creations of master chocolate makers — while watching a demonstration of the meticulous and precise work through windows peering into the small factory. We'll return to the boat for an afternoon sailing on the Canal du Centre to Strepy-Thieu.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

FRIDAY, MAY 21 – STREPY-THIEU TO MONS

An Engineering Marvel & a Belgian Versailles

We'll spend a relaxing morning cruising along the canal before arriving at one of the day's highlights — the monumental Ronquières Inclined Plane. Built between 1960 and 1968, this remarkable engineering feat replaced 14 traditional locks that once caused lengthy delays for canal traffic. Our barge will experience the unique boat lift system, where two independent caissons transport vessels up or down the incline. The crossing takes less than 35 minutes while overcoming an impressive height difference of 240 feet (75 meters). After this fascinating passage, we continue cruising toward the historic city of Mons.

Later, we set off to visit the elegant Château de Beloeil and the nearby Chant d'Éole Vineyard. Often referred to as the "Belgian Versailles," the Château de Beloeil houses an extraordinary collection of art from the 15th to the 19th centuries. Its impressive library holds more than 20,000 books and precious manuscripts, while the beautifully preserved interiors showcase fine furniture crafted by renowned French cabinetmakers of the 17th and 18th centuries.

We then continue to the Chant d'Éole Estate, where Belgian farming heritage meets the expertise of celebrated sparkling-wine producers. During our guided tour, knowledgeable hosts will walk us through the entire process — from planting the vines to bottling the finished wine. The visit concludes with a delightful tasting of three signature creations: Brut Blanc de Blancs, Rosé Brut, and the Elixir Saint-Georges. Afterward, we return to Mons to relax and reflect on a memorable day.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

SATURDAY, MAY 22 – MONS TO PÉRONNES-LEZ-ANTOING

A Taste of Mons & Peaceful Canals

Join us for a delightful food tour through the charming streets of Mons, a city that proudly blends vibrant modern life with a rich and fascinating past. At the heart of the city lies the beautiful Grand-Place of Mons, a picturesque gathering place lined with inviting cafés, artisan shops, and historic buildings.

Led by a knowledgeable local guide, we'll stroll through the historic center while uncovering stories of Mons' past, from medieval legends to modern-day traditions. Along the way, we'll stop to savor four delicious local specialties, giving you a true taste of the region — an experience that will delight both history lovers and food enthusiasts alike.

Later, we return to our barge and spend a relaxing afternoon cruising along the scenic Nimy-Blaton-Péronnes Canal, an important waterway at the heart of Belgium's canal network. Opened in October 1955, the canal created a vital link between the historic Canal du Centre and the Scheldt River. As we glide peacefully through the Belgian countryside, enjoy the passing landscapes before arriving in the charming village of Péronnes-lez-Antoing in the early afternoon.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

SUNDAY, MAY 23 – PÉRONNES-LEZ-ANTOING TO OUDENAARDE

Flemish Charm & a Traditional Distillery

Enjoy a peaceful morning cruising toward the charming Flemish town of Oudenaarde. Take advantage of this relaxing time on board to unwind on the Sun Deck, where you can sit back and watch the picturesque Belgian countryside drift by. Along the way, we'll pass through the historic city of Tournai, one of Belgium's oldest cities, before arriving in Oudenaarde early in the afternoon.

Once ashore, join us for a guided exploration of Oudenaarde, a picturesque city brimming with historic charm and architectural treasures. The highlight is the magnificent Oudenaarde Town Hall, a stunning example of late Gothic architecture. Nearby stand the city's two main churches, along with memorable landmarks such as the tranquil Beguinage of Oudenaarde, the birthplace of Margaret of Parma, the historic Boudewijnstoren, and the elegant 18th-century meat market. With more than 100 preserved historic monuments, the city offers a fascinating glimpse into a rich and lively past.

Later, we'll visit a traditional distillery where you'll learn about the time-honored craft of producing classic Belgian spirits, including Jenever, gin, and whiskey. Discover the distillation process from start to finish before concluding the visit with a tasting. We then return to the barge to relax and enjoy the rest of the evening on board.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

MONDAY, MAY 24 – OUDENAARDE TO GHENT

Medieval Ghent & a Gala Evening

In the morning, depart by motorcoach for a guided tour of Ghent, birthplace of Charles V and former capital of the County of Flanders. Discover its rich medieval heritage, including Saint Bavo's Cathedral, the Gothic Belfry, the Cloth Hall, and the Graslei and Korenlei quays, up to the Counts' Castle (external view). Free time will allow you to enjoy the city, followed by a stop at a local brewery where you will taste a gruut beer and learn about Ghent's brewing history.
