ITINERARY

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15 – WELCOME TO CAPE COD

Welcome to Cape Cod – Where Summer Never Ends

Extend your summer by the sea as you arrive on the sun-kissed shores of Cape Cod — where endless stretches of pristine beach meet the rhythmic roll of the Atlantic, and the scent of salt air mingles with blooming beach roses. Wander through charming colonial villages, clapboard cottages, and weathered lighthouses that have guided mariners for centuries. Feel the ocean breeze tug at your hat as gulls glide overhead and waves sparkle beneath the golden afternoon light.

Your Local Guide will greet you upon arrival at the Holiday Inn Hyannis, ready to assist with check-in and introduce you to the timeless spirit of the Cape. As twilight settles, gather with your fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner — a warm beginning to days filled with discovery, laughter, and seaside wonder.

Included: Dinner

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16 – PROVINCETOWN & THE NATIONAL SEASHORE

After breakfast, embark on a journey along the storied Old King’s Highway (Route 6A) — one of America’s most scenic byways. As your coach winds through centuries-old villages, imagine clipper ships once sailing these same shores. Pass weathered captain’s homes, sea grass meadows, and historic lighthouses standing as sentinels over the Atlantic. The salt air carries whispers of the past — tales of pilgrims, whalers, and artists drawn to this untamed beauty.

Arrive at the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center, where endless dunes and crashing surf reveal the Cape’s wild heart. Then travel to Provincetown, a vibrant and free-spirited community perched dramatically at “Land’s End,” where the Pilgrims first set foot in 1620. Today, it’s a lively haven of artists, galleries, boutiques, and cafes. Enjoy free time to savor fresh seafood by the harbor, explore winding lanes lined with colorful cottages, or simply breathe in the salty breeze that has inspired generations.

This afternoon, choose your own Cape Cod adventure:

Whale Watch Cruise (3 hours) – Set sail into the whales’ feeding grounds aboard a modern vessel, guided by an expert marine naturalist. Feel the thrill as humpback, finback, and minke whales break the ocean’s surface just yards away — an awe-inspiring encounter with nature’s giants.

OR

Dune Tour (1 hour) – Climb aboard a comfortable 4x4 and journey deep into the protected dunes of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Discover the rustic dune shacks once home to famous writers and painters like Eugene O’Neill and Jack Kerouac, and hear stories of their artistic solitude amid windswept sands and endless horizons.

Whichever adventure you choose, this day on the Cape promises to be one of seaside wonder, breathtaking scenery, and the timeless magic of New England’s coastal soul.

Included: Breakfast, Dinner

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 – NANTUCKET, THE “LITTLE GRAY LADY OF THE SEA”

After breakfast, board the Hy-Line ferry for a picturesque voyage across shimmering waters to Nantucket Island, affectionately known as “The Gray Lady of the Sea.” As the mainland fades into the horizon, feel the salty breeze and watch sailboats dance across the waves on your approach to this storied island—once the whaling capital of the world.

Upon arrival mid-morning, your local guide welcomes you to this timeless haven of cobblestone streets, historic sea captain’s homes, and flower-filled lanes. Wander past boutique shops, harborside cafés, and charming cottages draped in climbing roses before setting off on your Nantucket Island Tour (time to be announced). Hear tales of bold whalers who ventured across the globe and glimpse the iconic Brant Point Lighthouse, guiding sailors home since 1746.

The remainder of the day is yours to soak in Nantucket’s coastal magic. Perhaps visit the Whaling Museum, where dramatic exhibits recount the island’s seafaring past, or browse the island’s art galleries featuring works inspired by the Atlantic’s moods and light. Linger over a bowl of creamy clam chowder, stroll along the marina, or simply pause to breathe the briny air as gulls call overhead.

In the late afternoon, reboard the ferry for your return voyage—watching the sun dip low over the sea as Cape Cod’s shoreline comes back into view.

It’s a day steeped in maritime legend, island beauty, and the gentle rhythm of life by the sea.

Included: Breakfast, Dinner

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 – HYANNIS, PLYMOUTH & SANDWICH

Begin your morning in Hyannis, the vibrant heart of Cape Cod, where history and coastal charm meet. A guided tour reveals the town’s most meaningful landmarks, including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, a serene tribute overlooking Lewis Bay, and the Korean War Memorial, honoring those who served with courage and sacrifice. Continue through Hyannisport, where windswept dunes and elegant seaside homes mark the legendary Kennedy family compound—a place steeped in American history and lore.

Next, journey to Plymouth—“America’s Hometown.” Here, the spirit of the Pilgrims still echoes along the harbor. Gaze upon the impressive Forefathers Monument, visit Plymouth Rock, and see the majestic Mayflower II, a faithful replica of the ship that carried brave settlers to these very shores in 1620. Enjoy time to stroll the waterfront, browse seaside boutiques, or savor a hearty New England lunch at one of the harborfront eateries.

As your day winds down, travel through the timeless beauty of Sandwich, Cape Cod’s oldest town. Admire its village green, cranberry bogs, and centuries-old homes, each telling a story of early colonial life.

Conclude your Cape Cod adventure with a Farewell Dinner at the historic Dan’l Webster Inn—a landmark of hospitality dating back to the 1700s. Dine amid candlelight and colonial charm, raising a glass to new friends and the memories made by the sea.

It’s a day rich in history, beauty, and heart—an unforgettable finale to your Cape Cod journey.
