DAY 1 - MONDAY

Today you will fly from Burlington, Vermont (or other prearranged airport) to Munich, Germany

DAY 2 - TUESDSAY

Upon your early morning arrival to Munich, you will be welcomed by your personal guide (same guide all week). After retrieving your bags, your personal guide will transfer to the hotel for check-in. Once you are settled, enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of Munich’s historic city center with its various famous sights like the Church of our Lady, St. Marie’s Square with the so called New City Hall and its famous Glockenspiel, Victualien Market, the Residence (former royal palace of the Bavarian Kings), and much more.

DAY 3 - WEDNESDAY

Today you go on an excursion by local train to Lake Chiemsee including a boat cruise to Herrenchiemsee Island and visit the famous Herrenchiemsee Palace, built by the order of King Ludwig II, the so called fairy tale king. He had the palace erected, based on the model of the Versailles Palace, near Paris. Later this afternoon, you will return to Munich by cruise boat and local train. (B, D)

DAY 4 - THURSDAY

This morning is at your leisure. Your personal guide will help you make the best use of your time. This afternoon, you and your personal guide will take a comfortable high speed bullet train to Berlin. Upon your arrival, you will check into your Berlin hotel before heading out for your included dinner.

DAY 5 - FRIDAY

After breakfast, your personal guide will introduce you to Berlin with a half day sightseeing tour of former West Berlin with its various sights like the Emperor William Memorial Church, the Victory Column, Bellevue Palace, and more. Afterwards you will go to the government district, with the Chancellery and the Reichstag, and walk through the Brandenburg Gate to the Holocaust Memorial. From there you continue to the district of Kreuzberg with its colorful mixture of students, artists, migrants, hipsters and tourists. Later this afternoon is at your leisure with guidance by your personal guide. Later this evening, enjoy the performance of the "New Circus" at the famous Chameleon Theatre.

DAY 6 -  SATURDAY

This morning you will accompany your personal guide on a half day sightseeing tour of former East Berlin with, the famous Boulevard Under the Linden Trees, Bebel Square - place of the Nazi book burning, State Opera, Humboldt University, Berlin Cathedral, East Site Gallery, the Berlin Wall Memorial, and much more. This evening, your personal guide will prepare you for your departure home.

DAY 7 -  SUNDAY

Now it's time to say goodbye to Germany. Accompany your personal guide to the airport for your flight home.
