ITINERARY

DAY 1 - FRIDAY

Fly to Nashville, Tennessee. Enjoy the amenities of the brand-new 4-Star Drury Plaza Hotel – One block from the famed Honky Tonk Row.  Christmas is a magical time in Nashville and as the song goes...these are a few of my favorite things.  This time of year, the tunes in Music City start to include your favorite Christmas carols. The city lights change from honky-tonk neon orange and yellow to festive holiday reds, greens, gold & silver.  Sit back and relax as Champlain Tours leads the way!

After dinner, we will take a walking tour to help you navigate your way around later during your free time.  Don’t forget to discover Nashville’s next star singing at Tootsies, or perhaps check out the Patsy Cline museum.

DAY 2 - SATURDAY

We will begin our morning with the Music Hall of Fame.  Explore the best of country music’s past and present with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.  Situated in the heart of downtown Nashville, this beautifully modern facility is known as the “Smithsonian of country music,” offering 350,000 square feet of dynamic, state-of-the-art galleries.  Perhaps the highlight will be the private audience and concert that Champlain Tours has arranged with one of Johnny Cash and June Carter’s family members!

After lunch, we convene on our motor coach for a Nashville city tour with our local guide.  Listen to the story telling by this local as we see the Ryman Auditorium, Nissan Stadium on Titans Way, Music City Center, the State Capita, Parthenon at Centennial Park, Vanderbilt University, Riverfront Train Station, and Historic Lower Broadway.

How will we top this day?  How about dinner with live music?!

DAY 3 - SUNDAY

This morning after your hot breakfast, we will take a stroll down to the irresistible Johnny Cash Museum.  Yesterday’s private concert will make this visit that much more enjoyable!

Next, Cruise on Nashville's Cumberland River aboard one of the country's largest paddle-wheel boats, the 'General Jackson Showboat'.  Dine on a 3-course southern meal while you enjoy live entertainment including music, comedy, and dancers.

Next, we head over the Gaylord Opryland hotel, where your atrium balcony room awaits you.  You will be in awe of this hotel.  This property is magnificent.  But wait until you see it during the holidays.  Throughout the Christmas season, Gaylord Opryland Hotel hosts many holiday events and is all tricked out for the holidays with festive decor and more than 3 million twinkling lights.  We’ll get in the spirit of the season with the Park show and the Grand Ole Opry’s Live Holiday Program.  The hotel will host events such as live entertainment

and holiday movies. The kids can go ice skating at the hotel's rink, ride a miniature train through Holiday Hall, and have their photo taken with Santa. There will also be scavenger hunts, gingerbread decorating sessions, and carriage rides!

Do you remember Minnie Pearl?  Your package also includes a Grand Ole House Backstage Tour.  Go behind the curtain at Nashville’s premier country music stage, the world-renowned Grand Ole Opry, on this guided backstage tour.  See Minnie Pearl’s dressing room, and walk in the footsteps of countless country

music superstars and get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at this legendary venue and show that made country music famous. This is a bucket-list item experience for all fans of country music.

DAY 4 - MONDAY

Today is all about enjoying the impressive Gaylord Opryland Hotel.  With the Delta River flatboat, Gaylord Opryland’s ICE show, Nashville Palace Entertainment, and Trace Atkins & Friends Christmas Dinner Show, there will be plenty of things to do and see.  But what would the Christmas holiday be without a traditional Christmas light cruise?  After dinner, board our warm motor coach and listen to some jolly music as we drive through the Franktown Festival of Lights.

DAY 5 - TUESDAY

Sadly, today we must fly home.  But we bet that the next time you sing White Christmas, there be a noticeable twang in your voice!
